In March, housing starts fell to an annualized rate of 1.1 million from 1.2 million the month before. Building permits fell from 1.2 million to 1.1 million as well.

Home buyers sold on the Bryan/College Station housing market

The population in the Brazos Valley is on the rise and with that comes growth in the housing market. Donny Hall and his family have lived in their Bryan home for about five months, but their journey to find a place to call home didn't come easy. "The houses were being scooped off the market quickly," said Hall. "Sometimes you would be at an open house and they would have already accepted an offer, so it was frustrating, and at other times you would put an offer and there would already be an existing cash offer that just takes the house off the market."
