Bryan-College Station seeing record-breaking real estate boom

A record-breaking 3,123 homes were sold in the area in 2014, with an average of 114 days on the market, according to the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors database. With 1,771 homes sold the past six months at an average of 98 days on the market so far in 2015, another record-breaking year is on the horizon. Palasota said the market can feel like a game of musical chairs at times. Real estate experts say a growing Texas A&M University, an expanding biocorridor and healthy oil and gas industry will provide a constant stream of house hunters, and a small army of more than 800 real estate agents is ready to help.
